Is Paris too big to look like a village? Strangely enough, the French capital is the city of every possibility. Proof of it with the opening of Flonflon, a festive and scrumptious terrace that looks like a convivial square. At the opposite of the Parisian cliché, always on a rush and pulling on a face, there, you will discover when one will take time to have a good time.
Set by the Seine on the Quai d’Austerlitz quay, this terrace is extended the holiday spirit and is the outcome of a collaboration between Off Paris Seine, La Démesure sur Seine, BonjourBonsoir and Geoffrey Gervais. And the least we can say is that for this surprise spot, they made their mark.
So, what should you expect from this village square by the water? First of all, this is a place living with music. All in all, 150 seats, in addition to high boys scattered around a piano-jukebox where Marital Paoli and Cyril Taieb invite us to sing out loud, playing our favorite songs for the aperitif. At nightfall, DJ sets make Parisians have fun on the square and concerts are also scheduled.
In this perfect place for sunny days, you can enjoy very fresh food thanks to chef Salim Asselate’s recipes who already delighted our taste buds at Mandarin Oriental. On the menu then, very lekker poke bowls, as well as grilled food with salmon skewers, lamb’s chop, and more dishes simply super tasty.
As part of the irresistible aperitif offers, we have draught beers, tasty wines, as well as anise-based drinks and spirits, making us feel like by the Mediterranean Sea. To pair this all, classics such as cheeses and cold cuts boards, including cutting stations. And since iodic flavors are perfect to keep the holiday spirit up, the traveling Presqu’Île oyster seller treats you to oysters and shells until 10 p.m.
Friends, good music, and good food… Is there anything lacking? Entertainments! Two boules fields await you for good-natured games. A giant bingo, blind tests and even Chronologics nights on Saturdays take us back in time to the 50’s and all the way down to the 2000’s. Flonflon is not done making us have a good time!
