If you've never heard of chef Michel Dumas, you're definitely not doing enough social networking! A veritable star of theFrench-speaking Internet, with a Youtube channel with over a million subscribers and a Facebook page with 2.2 million fans, this chef with a look straight out of the 70s, all moustache, has made a name for himself with his unfailing sense of humor and his easy, detailed recipes.
Originally from Poitiers, France, Michel Dumas took off for Quebec in 1976 after a short detour via Tarbes and the hotel school. His fame exploded in 2013, when a YouTube video of rillettes recipes, originally shared for his mother back in France, went viral.
From his blue-tiled kitchen, the chef has been delivering gourmet recipes from French, Quebec and world cuisines ever since, from poutine to burgers to caramel chicken. These recipes are featured in his first cookbook, Super Nickel: Les meilleures recettes de la table 55, out on October 4.
To mark the occasion, Michel Dumas is coming to France for a book-signing tour that includes Paris! Meet the moustachioed chef on October 7, 2023 at Fnac des Halles, and again on October 8, 2023 at Cultura in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois for a second signing session!
