Are you looking for places to barbecue with family and friends around Paris? There's no need to lug your barbecue kit around Paris parks and gardens- it's strictly forbidden, and you could end up with a hefty fine.
So, to enjoy grilled meats and vegetables with friends and family, you'll have to travel a few kilometers to take advantage of barbecue areas in the Paris region. In fact, some parks, forests and leisure centres offer secure areas to avoid any risk of fire!
It's your turn to have a chipolatas with your feet in the grass!
Base de Loisirs de Varennes sur Seine
Surrounded by a lake accessible free of charge all year round, the Base de Loisirs de Varennes sur Seine offers a wide range of facilities for the whole family: walks, fitness trail, children's playground, petanque area. Barbecues are permitted (except for special events), but you'll need to bring your own charcoal and grill.
Base de Loisirs de Saint-Quentin en Yvelines
The Base de Loisirs de Saint-Quentin welcomes all Parisians and Ile-de-France residents. Here you'll find the largest lake in the Ile-de-France region, set around a 600-hectare green space suitable for children, with a play area and activities such as a wave pool and canoeing. An attractive picnic/barbecue area is located just off the road leading to the Relais des Canardières and the Bernaches reception hall.
Base de Loisirs du Val de Seine
The Base de Loisirs de Verneuil-sur-Seine boasts an exceptional setting in a privileged environment. Beach, footpaths, panoramic views, forests and walks where water and nature come together in a place of remarkable beauty guarantee you a real moment of relaxation and pleasure. Barbecues are permitted everywhere on the base outside the beach.
Base de Loisirs des Boucles de Seine
Located in Moisson, Base de Loisirs des Boucles de Seine offers a green setting, a wide choice of sporting activities, relaxation areas, a sandy beach and supervised or free activities: sailing, golf (18 holes), tennis (6 courts, 2 of which are covered), fishing, mini-golf, canoeing and hiking. Just 70 km west of Paris, the base offers 350 hectares for barbecues with friends. Barbecues are permitted in designated areas.
Base de Loisirs de Cergy-Pontoise
The Cergy-Pontoise leisure park offers a wide range of activities for the whole family. Formerly open to the whole base, an area is now dedicated to barbecues between the Cayennes pond and the Eguerets pond (near the ski lift). A specially designed area in the heart of the park awaits friends and family.
In any case, please note that barbecues are not allowed on the ground, so you'll need to bring a free-standing barbecue. And since you're a responsible citizen and like clean spaces, you'll be sure to dispose of your packaging, cans and other garbage in the garbage cans provided at the various locations!
