In a refined and elegant setting, the L'Assaggio team awaits you for a delicious moment of conviviality. If the service is impeccable, what really makes the difference is the kindness of the staff, who are as warm-hearted as they are professional. Another reason why this spot is a favorite is its secret, exotic terrace, adorned with a magnificent monumental mosaic fresco and a Roman fountain. A very quiet space, away from prying eyes, with running water and a few trees - olive, orange... When night falls, candles and lampposts light up: a magical setting!
The magic happens in the kitchen too! The menu is designed by Chef Vasyl, a native of Piedmont. The menu features refined yet generous dishes. For us, the white fish carpaccio with tomato confit, capers and Taggiasche olives is a gourmet starter, and the Pugliese Burrata with sun-drenched tomatoes, basil and sweet and sour Tropea onions is a classic that never gets old, especially in summer!
On the main course, generosity is the order of the day, with traditional dishes that you'd expect to find in a family meal, but revisited in the style of Chef Vasyl. We love the fish steak of the day (red tuna that day) with grilled eggplant, tomato coulis and oregano extra virgin olive oil.
Here again, the richness of the flavors testifies to the quality of the products selected, and the perfect cooking of the fish makes us melt with pleasure. Fresh tagliolini with black truffle is another delicacy on the menu. Spoiler Alert: you'll find it hard (very hard) to resist!
When it's time for dessert, there's no question of hesitating for a single second: the tiramisu is a real favorite, and we'd even go so far as to say that it's one of the best in the capital (if not THE best). Reworked with even more gourmet flair, the taste of mascarpone accompanies the gourmet coffee and soft cookie.
