Pizzas, fresh pasta and love - what more could you ask for? We're off to the Batignolles district to discover Gruppomimo in the 17th arrondissement. Opened last year, this friendly, no-holds-barred Italian restaurant is sure to appeal to fans of good pasta and oven-baked, homemade Neapolitan pizzas.
Gruppomimo is the business of 3 partners: Edouard, Benoît and Pietro in the kitchen, who mix a lot of Italy, a dash of show and a zest of creativity. Already present in the 17th arrondissement and in Boulogne, Gruppomimo has not finished making a name for itself, with 3 new, more modern and spacious addresses opening this year.
In all the group's restaurants, you'll find the famous popular Italian dishes that are so popular. Homemade , oven -bakedNeapolitan pizzas and recipes for risotto and pasta prepared in a wheel of Parmesan cheese .At Gruppomimo, Pietro's dad takes pride in choosing the best local produce from his favorite producers.
A la carte (please note that the menu changes with the seasons and new products):
On our visit, we were treated to delicious, soft Focaccias, topped with salmon and mortadella, burrata and pistachio. Delicious! And of course, we couldn't pass up the creamy, smoky Stracciatella.
It's hard not to choose the famous Tagliatelle with truffle, prepared in a wheel of Pecorino DOP with fresh summer truffle. Once served, the waiter adds grated truffle on top. It's both generous and delicious if truffles are your thing.
We love the Casareccia fraiche with pistachio pesto, stracciatella and fresh pistachio. Firm, melting and crunchy, the combination is divine.
Octopus lovers won't want to miss the Octopus Fiction with lemon, basil pesto, stracciatella, cucumber and potato pickles. Crispy on the outside and melting on the inside, it's cooked to perfection.
On the pizza side, the super-thin flying tuna pizza is amazing. Crisp, soft dough, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella to round it all off, and we're good to go.
We can't leave without dessert, and Gruppomimo has something to tempt the sweet tooth. The chocolate-pistachio fondant with vanilla ice cream is divine. The tiramisu is equally delicious, and the chocolate mousse with passion fruit is easy to swallow.
In short, how about a good Italian in the 17th arrondissement?
