Young and old alike, enjoy the first weekend of the vacation season at the Château de Champs-sur-Marne. On October 19 and 20, 2024, family activities await you as part of the Monument Jeu d'Enfant event.

Monument Jeu d'Enfant is back for its 26th edition! Once again this year, the Château de Champs-sur-Marne welcomes visitors young and old, on the weekend of October 19 and 20, 2024. Take advantage of this special open house to discover one of the region's most beautiful châteaux, and take part in the activities planned for the whole family.

All over France, national monuments are opening their doors to welcome young and old alike, and introduce them to France's heritage through free, fun activities . This cultural event allows children to visit and appreciate the wealth of France, thanks to activities planned especially for them. In Paris and Île-de-France, a great program awaits families!

The Château de Champs-sur-Marne, an 18th-century treasure nestled in the Seine-et-Marne region of France, is a case in point. This monument was born of a curious story: accused of embezzlement, Paul Poisson de Bourvallais, secretary to the Royal Finance Council, was sentenced to the Bastille. To escape imprisonment, the owner of the Champs estate sold his property to the State.

Today, the estate is home to a furnished château and a remarkable garden, which enchants all visitors. To find out more about this exceptional monument, take part in the activities planned for the Monument Jeu d'Enfant event this weekend!

On the agenda for this family weekend:

  • Monsters au naturel
In autumn, the trees of the Champs-sur-Marne estate reveal a different physiognomy. Rough bark, gnarled trunks, branches uncovered when the leaves fall... if you look closely enough, some trees take on a mysterious, almost frightening aspect...
For all activities, bring appropriate clothing and footwear, depending on weather conditions.
Saturday, October 19: meet in front of the main entrance
Sunday, October 20: meet in front of the ticket office
    Booking required www.chateau-champs-sur-marne.fr

    • October 19 and 20 at 10:30 am: storytelling tour
Join the whole family for a storytelling tour of Les Histoires de Petits Monstres des bois et des forêts (Stories of Little Monsters from the woods and forests), which could be a little scary, but not too scary!
      Ages 3 to 6 | Duration: 1 h

    • October 19 and 20 at 2 p.m.: Workshop visit
For older children, join us for a workshop visit to create "tree monsters". After discovering the park's trees and learning a few stories about them, where children can pick up some first-rate materials, they'll get to work in the gardener's gallery! It's up to them to create tree monsters using land art techniques.
      From age 7 | Duration: 2 h 30

What a promise! What more could you ask for than a weekend in the heart of nature to enjoy the beautiful autumn colors? Shall we go, friends?
