Fête nationale 2024 in Savigny-le-Temple (77): picnic, concert and entertainment

Bastille Day is fast approaching, with its celebrations commemorating the storming of the Bastille and the French Revolution.

Bastille Day is celebrated every year, traditionally on July 14. This historic date refers to the storming of the Bastille, the famous royal prison, on July 14, 1789. On that day, five cannons taken in the morning from Les Invalides were placed in front of the Bastille by French guards. At around 5 p.m., the Bastille garrison surrendered and the Parisians, who had come to collect gunpowder and bullets, took over the Bastille.

If you live in the Seine-et-Marne region, why not celebrate the Fête nationale in Savigny-le-Temple, where a host of events are planned for the occasion, including a picnic, a concert, a horse show and games for youngsters! Please note that this festive day will take place two days before the official date, Friday July 12, 2024. The event takes place from 3pm to 10pm in the grounds of Domaine de la Grange - la Prévôté.

Once again, the town has decided to offer a family festival and celebrate citizenship with a Republican picnic in the château grounds. You'll be able to eat on site thanks to the various food trucks, but you can also bring your own meal.

Don't forget your plaid in case it gets chilly! No fireworks, due to the proximity of the forests, but plenty of entertainment, including a horse show, inflatables and horse-drawn carriage rides.

On this holiday, we also take the opportunity to discover the town of Savigny-le-Temple, with its nearby Théâtre de Sénart, and the huge Koezio complex, for fun with the whole family before a memorable evening.

When? Friday, July 12, 2024 from 3pm to 10pm
Where? Parc du Domaine de la Grange - la Prévôté

• 3:00 pm: Activities with wooden games, sports workshops, face-painting, inflatables and a 20-minute horse show on the theme of the French Revolution with the "Cheval-spectacle" troupe.
  
  
• 6.00 pm - 7.30 pm: Equestrian show with demonstrations and training.
  
  
• 7:00 p.m.: Republican picnic: bring your own meal for a collective picnic, or enjoy the specialities of the food trucks on site.
  
  
• 8:00 pm: Concert by Trio Duality.
  
  
• Horse-drawn carriage rides in the park provided by the Attelages de Rougeau association.
