This iconic date, steeped in history since the storming of the Bastille in 1789, marks the revolt that sparked off the French Revolution, symbolizing national unity and pride. In addition to the air show, the military parade, the traditional concert (this year at the Hôtel de Ville) and the fireworks display at the Eiffel Tower, each arrondissement reveals its share of surprises. Fancy a chic, trendy version? On July 14, 2024, head to the Palais Galliera 's Les Petites Mains restaurant for a magical evening beneath the fashion museum's majestic columns. From 8pm onwards, enjoy the enchanting setting, sipping a cocktail with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. À la carte? Nothing less than a bespoke menu signed by globe-trotting chef Jared Phillips. Inspired by his travels and his mentor Pierre Gagnaire, he gives pride of place to plants in his elegant, colorful dishes. As for Paloma Laguette, she's in charge of desserts that are sure to make you succumb.
