One of the things we love to do when the cold weather sets in in Paris is to head off to the tea rooms to enjoy the best tea-times in Paris. And in this festive end-of-year period, it's Christmas tea times that await us, like the Peninsula Paris 2024 Christmas tea time!
Created by talented pastry chef Anne Coruble, who uses seasonal produce such as pears, citrus fruits and chocolate, and David Bizet for the savory side, this afternoon tea is sure to please.
The Peninsula Paris celebrates Christmas with a magical tea time that warms hearts and delights taste buds. From December 1 to 31, 2024, Le Lobby restaurant invites us on a gourmet journey in its sumptuous setting, perfect for savoring sweet and savory treats with winter accents.
In this former ballroom, where Parisian elegance shines, pastry chef Anne Coruble sublimates seasonal flavors. Once you've settled in, it's time for the menu. But what exactly does this delicious tea-time offer? From cinnamon to vanilla to chocolate, each bite evokes warm memories of the holidays. The first step is to choose a hot beverage. Naturally, we go for the Viennese hot chocolate, undoubtedly one of the best in Paris. We're also tempted by the delicious matcha latte with soy milk, which is both easily digestible and creamy.
The tasting begins in style with a profiterole with frosted vanilla from Brittany, enhanced with black cardamom and Madagascar chocolate.
It continues with a Tahitian vanilla tart, combined with white miso and a fine caramelized gavotte. The ballet of flavors continues with a Piedmont hazelnut religieuse, followed by a fleur de duja and its cocoa fritter, seductive in their boldness.
Savory creations are just as refined. Butternut confit, accompanied by fresh goat's cheese, and Jerusalem artichoke tartelette flavored with black truffle open the ball. The sumptuous bao with blue lobster and the subtle marriage oftarragon and osciètre caviar add a marine touch to this unique experience.
This tea time is available in two versions:
Available Monday to Saturday, 3pm to 6pm, this festive must-have can only be enjoyed with a reservation at 01 58 12 28 88 or ppr@peninsula.com. A perfect opportunity to experience the art of L'Heure du Thé in Paris in all its festive splendor.
