In 2023, Hanukkah returns from December 25, 2024 to January 1, 2025. During this Jewish holiday, which commemorates the miracle of lights, we give each other gifts, enjoy traditional pastries and, above all, light a new candle each evening from an eight-branched candlestick, plus one, the chamach, which towers above the others.
Like every year, the French Loubavitch movement takes the opportunity to organize public lighting of the candlestick, the hanoukia, all over France, and Yvelines is no exception. Several towns in the 78 region will be taking part, and the Jewish community will be able to come together for a wonderful moment of communion. Of course, the event is free of charge, and will take place in the main squares of the various towns.
