Following in the footsteps of Le Perray-en-Yvelines, Plaisir and Rambouillet, it's now Sartrouville (78)'s turn to don its coat of lights for a magical tradition that can't be ignored! From December 23, 2023 to January 7, 2024, the Place de la Gare will be transformed into an enchanted village with the long-awaited arrival of the Christmas ice rink. Amid a forest of conifers and garlands of lights, a giant bear and a wide-eyed owl will surprise the youngest visitors, while gourmets will delight in the food trucks (sweet and savoury) in this charming winter landscape.
The event kicks off with a bang on December 23 with the inauguration of the Sartrouville Christmas Village. On the program? The arrival of Santa Cl aus himself for memorable photos, and a decorating workshop led by local merchants, from 9am to 1pm. Then, at 10 a.m., we'll ring in theofficial opening of the (synthetic)ice rink, followed at 11 a.m. by a free hot chocolate distribution and the festive parade of children in fancy dress, invited to parade to music.
With its magical forest decor, the ice rink in downtown Sartrouville will be the attraction of the Christmas vacations! A host of other creative workshops await families: check out the program.
