Galette des Rois 2024 by Lenôtre: Étoile de Menton, almond and citron

Étienne Leroy has not finished delighting us. Following on from his beloved luge log, the pastry chef and world pastry champion from Maison Lenôtre unveils his galette des Rois, , to be enjoyed onEpiphany 2023. This year, we discover the galette des rois named "L'Étoile de Menton", which marries almond and citron.

For 2024, Lenôtre transports us to the South of France with its signature galette, inspired by the famous Menton brioche. The galette features a base of soft brioche, generously soaked in citron syrup. This base is covered with a citron confit, whose tangy freshness blends harmoniously with the citron-flavored almond cream frangipane. The whole is carefully wrapped in an inverted puff pastry with Charentes-Poitou extra-fine butter, offering an ultra-crisp texture.

The galette's aesthetics are not to be outdone. It features the famous radiant wheat grains, the emblematic symbol of Maison Lenôtre, adding a touch of elegance to this creation. Every detail has been thought out and worked on by our artisan tourier chefs to offer a unique visual and gustatory experience.

Available for 6 people at a price of €59, this galette is an invitation to celebrate Epiphany with refinement and gourmandise. Available from January 2, 2024, it promises to delight even the most demanding palates.

Lenôtre doesn't stop there, either, with its gourmet classics. The Brioche Bordelaise aux Fruits Confits, a regional specialty, is a gourmet alternative for lovers of sweet treats, at €7.50 each or €47 for six people. For purists, the Galette aux Amandes remains a must, with its light puff pastry and savory almond cream, available by the slice or for groups of up to ten, with prices ranging from 8.50€ to 78€.
