It's the cultural and heritage event not to be missed under any circumstances at the start of each September in Paris or the Île-de-France region: this year's Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) will be held from September 21 to 22, 2024, with, as usual, a program as rich as it is varied. So, this is your chance to discover the little nuggets hidden close to home, with visits to secret or insolit places , but also, to take a tour of the most unmissable of the great Parisian monuments, places of power, churches, castles... Yes, the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) are particularly promising, especially in the suburbs, with numerous tours to discover little-known heritage.
In the Seine-Saint-Denis department, in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, it's time to take a trip to the town's famous Puces if, much to your chagrin, you've never managed to get there. Visited by millions of tourists every year, the Puces de Saint-Ouen is Europe's largest flea market! It's also an opportunity to discover other parts of the city, including the Hôtel de Ville, and to take a stroll around this rapidly expanding commune, with its new Docks district on the banks of the Seine. Heritage Days 2024 at Saint-Ouen Town Hall
As part of the European Heritage Days 2024, the Archives and Heritage Development Department has designed a self-guided tour and guided tours of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine Town Hall.
Self-guided tours will be available on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 10am to 5pm. The tour itinerary is as follows:
A stroll through the three rooms on the second floor, accompanied by panels presenting the history of the building and the frescoes.
In the rooms of the Milieu and Bureau Municipal, items from the archives and the municipal "Musée de France" collection will be on display, accompanied by explanatory texts.
In the Salle Alain Rouault at 4pm, a concert will add a musical touch to the day.
Guided tours will be offered at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. by staff from the Archives and Heritage Development Department.
