The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) is one of the not-to-be-missed events in September in Paris and the Île-de-France region. A real highlight on the cultural calendar, this not-to-be-missed event invites us to discover our heritage in a different way, by showcasing our finest treasures over the course of a weekend. Numerous venues are taking part, including museums, monuments, châteaux and gardens, as well as ministries, major institutions and embassies. They're all getting in on the act, revealing their secrets to you through a program that's often free of charge, featuring self-guided or guided tours,events and originalworkshops for young and old alike. As you can see, this is one cultural event you won't want to miss!

    In the Archives room, discover a presentation of documents on the history and technique of the seal, an ancient means of printing.

  • Seal-molding workshop
    Sunday, September 22, 2:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m.

    Come and choose and make your own plaster seal from original models. Don't forget to bring a small box to take home. Two groups of 12 people, ages 8 and up.

    Young budding poets aged 8-12, put pen to paper: the "Patrimoines en poésie" competition is open until December 20, 2024.
    Come and write your poem in front of a work from the museum's collections of your choice, freely accessible in the halls. You can also come and take a photo of a chosen work in the museum's galleries to create your poem at home.
