The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) are the perfect opportunity to take advantage of as many cultural opportunities as possible! Held every year on the third weekend in September, the event is a great way to get back into the swing of things, with a wide range of visits, events and activities organized at some of our most beautiful heritage sites. Each year, museums, monuments, castles and other unusual or secret places put together a special program, often free or low-cost, that promises us some wonderful discoveries. And as you can imagine, in the Paris region, this exceptional weekend promises to be a busy one!
Paris knows how to attract all eyes, and yet its region has nothing to be ashamed of in comparison. There are many beautiful nuggets waiting to be discovered in the four corners of the Ile-de-France region, to the delight of enthusiasts and the curious alike. This is the perfect opportunity to discover the region's often little-known heritage. In Seine-Saint-Denis, the town of Épinay-sur-Seine is gearing up for an eventful 41st edition! On the weekend of September 21 and 22, 2024, we invite you to discover the treasures of this amazing town. Here's the detailed program of tours around the town.

Heritage Days 2024 with the l'Abominable association in Epinay-sur-Seine
Guided tour of the future Navire Argo premises in the former Eclair laboratories in Epinay-sur-Seine. Through this tour of part of these historic laboratories, the L'Abominable association will present its project to rehabilitate the premises to create its Navire Argo, due to open in early 2026. The Navire Argo will combine a laboratory shared between filmmakers and a cinema open to the public, and will be a place dedicated to contemporary creation and the conservation of silver-film know-how and techniques - a place for the living heritage of silver film.
Heritage Days 2024 at the Vavilov garden in Epinay-sur-Seine
Discover the Vavilov vegetable seed conservatory, an astonishing and ambitious project set up in the Alcobendas garden. Vegetables and fruit from the surrounding area that disappeared decades ago are now taking root in order to perpetuate this plant heritage. You'll see how seeds are harvested and how they are preserved.
Location: Jardin Vavilov, junction of rue Guynemer and rue Quetigny.
Heritage Days 2024 at Epinay-sur-Seine Town Hall

The ultimate slow travel experience!
Built in the 18th century by the Marquis du Terrail, the château became the town hall in 1908. In a hushed, intimate atmosphere, take a journey through time as we recount the adventures and misadventures of the people and possessions that make up the building.
