The Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) are the perfect opportunity to take advantage of as many cultural opportunities as possible! Held every year on the third weekend in September, the event is a great way to get back into the swing of things, with a wide range of visits, events and activities organized at some of our most beautiful heritage sites. Each year, museums, monuments, castles and other unusual or secret places put together a special program, often free or low-cost, that promises us some wonderful discoveries. And as you can imagine, in the Paris region, this exceptional weekend promises to be a busy one!

Heritage Days 2024 at Notre-Dame des Missions church in Epinay-sur-Seine

  • Guided tour of the Notre Dame des Missions church, by the Association des Amis de Notre-Dame-des-Missions

    Listed as a Historic Monument since 1994, the building is the fruit of the collaboration of several artists who combined the arts and cultures of the world. Let us tell you all about its history and architecture as you discover its bell tower-minaret, its pagoda facade and its interior paintings.



Heritage Days 2024 with the l'Abominable association in Epinay-sur-Seine

  • Guided film tour by Association l'Abominable

    Guided tour of the future Navire Argo premises in the former Eclair laboratories in Epinay-sur-Seine. Through this tour of part of these historic laboratories, the L'Abominable association will present its project to rehabilitate the premises to create its Navire Argo, due to open in early 2026. The Navire Argo will combine a laboratory shared between filmmakers and a cinema open to the public, and will be a place dedicated to contemporary creation and the conservation of silver-film know-how and techniques - a place for the living heritage of silver film.

    Discover the Vavilov vegetable seed conservatory, an astonishing and ambitious project set up in the Alcobendas garden. Vegetables and fruit from the surrounding area that disappeared decades ago are now taking root in order to perpetuate this plant heritage. You'll see how seeds are harvested and how they are preserved.

You'll learn to take a different look at the landscape around you and, whether you're a beginner or an experienced painter, pick up the brush and paint the elements that inspire you at your own pace. The ultimate slow travel experience!



  • Guided tour of the Town Hall by candlelight, by Laurie COPPIN, Archives, Heritage and Tourism Department

    Built in the 18th century by the Marquis du Terrail, the château became the town hall in 1908. In a hushed, intimate atmosphere, take a journey through time as we recount the adventures and misadventures of the people and possessions that make up the building.



  • Leisure activities along the Seine in the 19th century, by Les Cultiveuses

    Would you like to walk along the banks of the Seine?
    Step back in time to the 19th century and discover the banks of the Seine as Spinassians lived them. A place of festivities in the guinguettes, outdoor art, cool baths and angling, it was also a place of hard work. From hauling boats to cleaning laundry in the washboats, let yourself be carried away by the memories of the past.
