Heritage Days 2024 in Paris: the American Cathedral unveils its program

Located a stone's throw from the famous Champs-Elysées avenue, on the prestigious Avenue George V, the American Cathedral of Paris or Holy Trinity Cathedral (not to be confused with theAmerican Church) was inaugurated in 1886 after some 5 years of construction, and reveals a neo-Gothic style. It was the first American Episcopalian church to be built outside the USA.

  Discover the magnificent architecture and rich history of this iconic monument. The cathedral is a splendid and unique environment. An iconic Gothic Revival building, it was designed in December 1880 by the famous Gothic Revival architect George Edmund Street. The first service was held on September 12, 1886, and the cathedral was consecrated on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1886.
