The Journées du Patrimoine are back on September 21 and 22, 2024, and with them the promise of a fascinating dive into French history and culture! For all history buffs, these annual days offer a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover emblematic sites, often closed to the public in normal times. A real heritage adventure awaits you!

Located in the heart of Paris, the Eugène Napoléon Foundation is one of those historical gems that's well worth a visit. Created in the 19th century byEmpress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III, the foundation's primary vocation was to help the underprivileged. In particular, it was an orphanage for young girls. The building's remarkable architecture bears witness to the grandeur and ambition of the Second Empire. Every stone, every room, every object tells a story, a part of our national heritage.

    The Eugène Napoléon Foundation opens its doors for the European Heritage Days.
    Come and discover the history of this place, created by Empress Eugénie.
    Visit on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September 2024 from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
    Self-guided tour or guided tour by BTS Tourism students from the Institut Supérieur Clorivière.
