Located in the heart of Paris, the Eugène Napoléon Foundation is one of those historical gems that's well worth a visit. Created in the 19th century byEmpress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III, the foundation's primary vocation was to help the underprivileged. In particular, it was an orphanage for young girls. The building's remarkable architecture bears witness to the grandeur and ambition of the Second Empire. Every stone, every room, every object tells a story, a part of our national heritage.
