Pedestrian Champs-Elysées: no car-free day on the famous avenue in September

The Champs-Élysées are reserved for pedestrians one Sunday a month, usually the first. It's an opportunity for Parisians of all ages to stroll freely along the world's most beautiful avenue without cars. Would you like to take advantage of this not-to-be-missed stroll in the Parisian calendar? The next event awaits us in October: there will be no pedestrianization of the Champs-Elysées in August and September.

As a reminder, with "Paris Respire", Paris City Hall hopes to reduce fine particle emissions. And since October 2018, the car-free perimeter has been extended to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris, allowing pedestrians to fully enjoy the center of the capital.

The anti-pollution plan has therefore continued to gain momentum, resulting in traffic restrictions for older cars and trucks since July 2017.
