Who never visited Colette?
Open for the first time in 1997, Colette has been launched by Colette Rousseaux and her daughter Sarah Lerfel Andelman. The 700-square-meter and three-story concept store did not waste time to please people and meet their needs thanks to a groundbreaking concept mixing fashion, beauty, design, high tech, photo, music and even books.
Despite its success, Colette has just announced its definitive closure effective from December 20, 2017. The announce has been released on its Instagram account.
No.213 Rue Saint Honoré has been occupied by Colette all these years and might be taken over by Saint Laurent. Colette explains: “Negotiations are under way with Saint Laurent and we would be proud to have a Brand with such a history, with whom we have frequently collaborated, taking over our address. We are happy of the serious interest expressed by Saint Laurent in this project, and it could also represent a very good opportunity for our employees.”
Since then, an agreement has been set up between the two managers and Saint Laurent already announced to immediately re-hire the 120 Colotte employees in the new store.
We easily imagine how sad some of you can be, but the founder "Colette Roussaux comes to an age where it's time to take time; and Colette couldn't exist without Colette".
Please note that the online store remain open until 11:59 p.m. (Paris time) on Wednesday December 20, 2017 so that you may unearth the perfect piece one more time...
