It’s the biggest railway station in Europe with not less than 700,000 daily visitors, bewildering, right?! It’s necessary to do every effort to welcome all these people and it’s exactly what has done Paris authorities and the Office du Tourisme et des Congrès de Paris [Paris Board of Tourism & Conventions] by rethinking the Gare du Nord Information Point. An Information Point that is “better located, more modern, mixing physical and digital welcome for quality information provided 7 days a week, 24 hours a day” City council deputy entrusted with Sport, Tourism, Olympic and Paralympic games Jean-François Martins says.
Located in front of the arrivals of international trains Thalys and Eurostar, next to the platforms 7 and 9, the new area – opened every day – will feature 3 multilingual agents to inform travelers, stranger or French resident, and they’ll be relieved in the evening by a touch screen located outside the office and available for consultation 24 hours a day.
Information isn’t the only Graal we can come and ask for at the Information Point since it’s also equipped with a ticketing service featuring several offers: you can get Paris Passlib’ official city pass, pass for transports and museums as well as entrance tickets for the main attractions, exhibitions and venues in the French capital.
We love this modernization effort!
