Paris Face Cachée: the event that took us behind the scenes of the capital comes to an end.

The Paris Face Cachée event will not be returning to the capital after all. This concept, which invited us to discover secret spots and behind-the-scenes jobs through free or inexpensive behind-the-scenes tours of the capital, has announced the end of its concept due to lack of funding.

Did you think you knew everything about Paris? Well, this concept had a lot of fun proving us wrong. Paris Face Cachée was the cult event that, year after year, invited fans of underground discoveries and adventurers to get off the beaten track. Year after year, this cultural and unusual event invited us to take the back roads and discover the capital and its region through a program of original and unusual tours in small groups. These were offered free of charge or at an affordable price, not exceeding twenty euros depending on the experience.

Each year, a hundred or so unique experiences were on offer, highlighting behind-the-scenes professionsand revealing places that are off-limits to the public, such as a air-raid shelter hidden in the bowels of the Monnaie de Paris, an immersion in the workshops of the Musée Grévin, or giving us the chance to try our hand at dubbing in a studio on the outskirts of the capital.

However, on Thursday, November 14, 2024, the project, which had not been held since 2023, announced its demise for lack of funding. Paris Face Cachée thus drew to a close, marking the end of an essential cultural event on the Parisian calendar.
