The top of the Eiffel Tower is closed from January 7 to February 1, 2019 for renovation work. A necessary closing for the Iron Lady that makes the best of it to have a makeover before welcoming visitors again.

Here’s to people who planned to visit the Eiffel Tower in January 2019, the top of the Iron Lady is closed to the public until February 1. And yes, as it happens every year, the famous monument needs a makeover to welcome guests the best way possible.

Because if at the top one can enjoy unobstructed and vertiginous views over the capital, the last floor of the Eiffel Tower remains exposed to weather conditions that regularly requires renovation work. And yes, at 300 meters (984.25 ft) above the ground, winds are more violent and bad weather can damage this spot that makes the whole world dream. During this yearly closing, our dear Iron Lady is getting pampered to bring always more safety and comfort to its admirers. It’s a blessing in disguise!

So, okay, you can forget about visiting the top, but the Eiffel Tower has more than one trick up its sleeve to delight visitors. We can comfort ourselves by enjoying the beautiful entertainments on the winter terrace set on the 1st floor expecting you up to January 27, 2019! On the menu, cocooning atmosphere in a lovely transparent dome and cookie tasting! Let’s not forget either about the Jules Vernes, the legendary restaurant of the Eiffel Tower or the macaron bar nestled on the second floor.

Meet on February 1, 2019 at 6 p.m. to enjoy the top of the Eiffel Tower again!
