Pedestrian Champs-Elysées: the world's most beautiful car-free avenue for New Year's Eve 2025
The Champs-Elysées are reserved for pedestrians one Sunday a month. An opportunity to discover the world's most beautiful avenue in a different way, and to take a selfie in front of the Arc de Triomphe without a car to spoil the picture. However, to ensure the smooth running of this New Year's Eve event on the Champs-Élysées, and"for security reasons", several metro and RER stations will not be serving the area around this legendary Parisian avenue on December 31, 2024 in the afternoon and evening. RATP has announced this on its website.
This will be the case at Charles de Gaulle - Étoile station (RER A, lines 1 and 2). Here, the stop will not be served on December 31st from 3 p.m. until 2 a.m. On metro lines 1 and 13, access to Champs-Élysées - Clemenceau station will be closed on December 31st from 3pm. "Connections in the station will be impossible", explains RATP. The same applies to Concorde station (lines 1, 8 and 12). So be prepared if you're planning to reach the Champs-Élysées avenue to celebrate New Year's Eve 2025 in Paris.
