As many countries are preparing to reopen their borders for the first time since the coronavirus crisis broke out, the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport is testing the implementation of new international health standards.

How will airports resume their usual activity as the health crisis goes on? While the coronavirus epidemic situation seems to improve in Europe, tourism recovery is part of the main issues, not only on health grounds, but also as for the economy. More and more countries are considering reopening theirs borders soon, and airports will soon have to submit to new international health standards.

In Paris, the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport usually is part of the ten most visited airports in the world. During the coronavirus epidemic, it guaranteed the entire air traffic, the decrease of which led to the closure of the Orly airport. And since tourism is about to start again, the Charles de Gaulle airport is testing the health measures recommended by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency: contact-less hand sanitizer distributors, mandatory facemask, markings on the floor to make sure social distancing is kept, and adapted processes are part of the rules implemented within the Parisian airport.

As for flights, a protocol has been created and guidelines announced:
