The second nationwide lockdown in France ended on December 15. Even though the lockdown exit has been confirmed this Thursday December 10, 2020 by Jean Castex, it has been toughened up. In concrete words, what changes?

During his address on November 24, 2020 Emmanuel Macron has presented the outlines of a possible lockdown exit strategy on the condition data follow the current trend and keep on decreasing. Yet, as December 15, 2020 is just around the corner, the 5,000-case-per-day-goal is not met yet. Therefore, this Thursday December 10, 2020 conditions have been made harsher.

Therefore, on December 15, 2020, French people swap the lockdown derogatory trip certificate for the curfew certificate. it means that during the day, they are free to go as they wish, without having to prove they have to go out. Yet, curfew is implemented past that date. It has been ultimately made harder and is set up from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. instead of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Even though exemption is set for Christmas Eve, there will be none on New Year's Eve. As for trips between regions, they are allowed again.
