Vaccines: “Orders have picked up the pace” President of the Haute Autorité de Santé says

This Saturday January 9, 2021 president of the Haute Autorité de Santé said on Europe 1 that the French government significantly improved vaccine orders. “Industrials are making major efforts to deliver more and quicker” she says, as Moderna vaccine has just been approved in France.

How is France preparing to mass-vaccinate the population? This Saturday January 9, 2021 professor and president of the Haute Autorité de Santé Dominique Le Guludec said in France “[vaccine] orders have picked up the pace” over the past days. She confirms the French government was ordering more vaccines and “industrials are making major efforts to deliver more and quicker” she told Europe 1.

A few days earlier, Moderna vaccine was given the green light from the same authority to be issued in France. Lately, the government has been faced with many criticisms from the opposition on the vaccine strategy implemented in France. In Europe, countries such as Germany and the United-Kingdom are speeding up and already total several thousands and even hundreds of thousands of fellow citizens vaccinated.

In France, this toll is barely increasing (80,000 people as of January 8, 2021) as the Covidtracker.fr website shows. Furthermore, the number of people vaccinated is expected to increase in the coming days. Prime Minister Jean Castex confirmed “the goal is to move quicker” without forgetting that it should be made so “in absolutely irreproachable safety conditions”.

Moderna vaccine is now approved by the the Haute Autorité de Santé. French control announced they delivered their decision this Friday Janaury 8, 2021 as for issuing the product on the territory.
