You may have heard it in the last few hours. Last night, the wind blew hard in the Ile-de-France region. And these gusts of wind are set to continue this Monday, January 22, 2024 , as storm Isha makes its way across the country. This Monday, Météo France has placed 42 French departments, mainly in the north of the country, under yellow vigilance for strong winds. According to the weather specialist, these strong gusts could hit Finistère, Haut-Rhin, Nord, Ardennes, Côte-d'Or, Loire-Atlantique, Aisne and Oise.
What about the situation in the Paris region? Paris and all the other departments of the Île-de-France region- Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne, Yvelines, Seine-et-Marne,Essonne and Val-d'Oise- have been placed on yellow alert for strong winds this Monday.
Specifically, strong gusts are expected in the Paris region throughout the day, until 4pm, and could reach 75 km/h in the morning, particularly in southern Essonne and western Yvelines, and 70 km/h in the inner suburbs. These winds are expected to diminish in intensity in the afternoon. Temperatures, on the other hand, are expected to be milder than in recent days, rising to between 9°C and 12°C, with occasional showers.
