Paris Airport: do not get fooled by clandestine luggage wrappers

The Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport is invaded by “clandestine wrappers” wrapping your luggage for a lesser cost but illegally. Do not let yourselves be appealed by their attractive rates, their “services” are not licensed and your bags could be denied.

Watch out, there is a new curse in Paris! The latest whim of unlicensed street sellers: becoming “clandestine wrappers”. The crime site is no other than the Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, where this new and illegal trend is growing.

If some of you are more into “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”, you might be one of those wrapping their bags to prevent destruction or theft. But beware people who have been roaming around lately in the airport  and providing their services. Although very appealing – low rates or negotiable costs – the material used is not resistant and of bad quality. Like concert tickets sold on the day of the show by the famous clandestine networks and nothing can guarantee the validity of it.

On the contrary, the Bag Wrap company is the only one allowed to wrap luggage. Starting from €13, you are sure you stick to the regulations required by companies and your bags are protected better.

“Only luggage wrapped at a Bag Wrap kiosk is approved by Paris Aéroport. Any luggage which has not been wrapped by Bag Wrap from an approved kiosk can be refused by the airline or baggage handlers”, the Paris Airport warns on their website.

Think about it or you could end up with twice as much to pay!
