It will have escaped no one. In the last few days, France has experienced an exceptionally mild spell in the middle of winter. Record temperatures have been recorded in several places, such as in Briançon, in the Hautes-Alpes, where it was 18.4°C on February 20.
Another worrying fact is the winter dry spell that the country is currently experiencing. It has not rained for 31 days, making us fear the worst for the coming summer.
So what can we expect in the coming days? " For this weekend, which will correspond to the last of the meteorological winter, the weather will be much colder," warns La Chaîné Météo.
Identical forecast for Météo France, which even announces the return of negative temperatures in Paris and Île-de-France. In detail, this return of cold should hit the Ile-de-France region early next week, from Monday, February 27, 2023. Thus, in the morning, temperatures oscillating between -1°C and -2°C are announced. In the afternoon, the mercury should not exceed 4°C. The weather should remain dry, with sunny skies.
Tuesday, February 28, temperatures between -1°C and -2°C are expected in the early morning in the Ile-de-France region. In the afternoon, the mercury is expected to rise a few degrees, possibly reaching 5°C maximum.
On Wednesday, March 1, a few morning frosts are still expected, with sub-zero temperatures expected in the Yvelines, Essonne , and southern Seine-et-Marne regions. On the other hand, in the afternoon, the mercury should rise to 6°C to 7°C.
It is only from Thursday, March 2 onwards that morning temperatures should reach 0°C or even 1°C. What about rain or snow? Due to the dry weather expected over the next few days, snow is not expected to fall in Île-de-France. As for the rain, it could make its return to Paris and the Ile-de-France region only from the week of March 6. But this trend is of course to be confirmed in the days to come.
