November 11th ceremony in Paris: traffic and parking restrictions

Due to the commemoration ceremony for the 106th anniversary of the 1918 Armistice, the Préfecture de Police de Paris has published an order temporarily modifying parking and vehicle traffic in several streets in the west of the capital, on Sunday November 10 and Monday November 11, 2024. The Préfecture de Police de Paris has issued a decree temporarily modifying parking and traffic in several streets in the west of the capital on Sunday November 10 and Monday November 11, 2024.

" Considering that in order to ensure the smooth running of this event as well as the safety of the public and participants, it is appropriate to take measures to restrict parking and traffic on November 10 and 11, 2024 in several streets in Paris, 7th, 8th, 16th and 17th ," specifies the Prefecture.

In this decree, the Préfecture de Police sets out the details of the scheme, which concerns both parking and traffic for all types of vehicle.

Thus, "the parking of any type of vehicle is prohibited from November 10, 2024 at 5:00 pm to November 11 at 2:00 pm in the following streets and portions of streets in Paris 8th, 16th and 17th ":

  • place Charles de Gaulle ;
  • rue de Tilsitt ;
  • rue de Presbourg ;
  • avenue Marceau, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue Galilée;
  • avenue d'Iéna, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue Newton;
  • avenue Kléber, between place Charles de Gaulle and avenue des Portugais ;
  • avenue Victor Hugo, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue de Traktir;
  • avenue Foch, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue de Traktir on the one hand, and rue Rude on the other;
  • avenue de la Grande armée, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue Anatole de la Forge;
  • avenue Carnot, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue Anatole de la Forge;
  • avenue Mac Mahon, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue des Acacias;
  • avenue de Wagram, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue de l'Étoile ;
  • avenue Hoche, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue Beaujon ;
  • avenue de Friedland, between place Charles de Gaulle and rue Chateaubriand ;
  • avenue des Champs Élysées, in its entirety;
  • rond-point des Champs Élysées-Marcel Dassault ;
  • avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt, between the Champs Élysées-Marcel Dassault traffic circle and cours la Reine, excluding the alleyway;
  • avenue du Général Eisenhower ;
  • avenue de Selves ;
  • avenue Winston Churchill ;
  • avenue Charles Girault ;
  • avenue Dutuit ;
  • avenue Edouard Tuck ;
  • cours la Reine.

Traffic of all kinds is " prohibited on November 11, 2024 from 07:00 to 14:00 within a perimeter delimited by the following roads and sections of roads, which remain open to traffic, in the 7th, 8th, 16th and 17th arrondissements of Paris ":

  • port des Champs Elysées ;
  • pont Alexandre III ;
  • quai d'Orsay ;
  • pont des Invalides ;
  • cours Albert Ier ;
  • place de l'Alma ;
  • avenue George V, between place de l'Alma and rue Christophe Colomb;
  • rue Christophe Colomb ;
  • avenue Marceau, between rue Christophe Colomb and rue de Bassano ;
  • rue de Bassano ;

The Paris Prefect of Police reminds us that " vehicles used to commit these offences may be immobilized and impounded ".
