Paris: the city's pools are free this Sunday for the closing of the Paralympic Games

This Sunday, September 8, 2024, the capital's swimming pools are opening their doors free of charge to end the summer in style and take a dip to mark the end of the Paralympic Games.

At the beginning of September, it's both back to school and the end of this sporting parenthesis of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with the closing ceremony on Sunday, September 8! To mark the occasion, the city of Paris has decided to open its aquatic spaces free of charge, so that everyone can enjoy them without paying a cent. This is a great opportunity for youngsters to discover their passion and perhaps become the future Léon Marchand !

Put on your best swimsuit this Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and dive into one of the thirty participating pools, some of which are listed as historic monuments ! You'll also be able to sign up for the year, depending on each pool's schedule and the courses offered by the city's swimming instructors and lifeguards. It's a great way to get back into the swing of things after an Olympic summer!
