Bad news for users of metro lines 6 and 14. This Monday morning , December 16, 2024, RATP is announcing disruptions on these two of the network's busiest metro lines due to electrical faults.
In detail, traffic had been disrupted on line 14 between Gare de Lyon and Madeleine since around 5:30 am. On this automatic line of the Paris metro, passengers were therefore unable to access Châtelet and Pyramides stations. Since around 8 a.m., however, trains have resumed running. However, traffic"remains disrupted on the entire line as a result of the power failure at Pyramides", warns RATP.
On line 6, train traffic is still suspended between Raspail and La Motte-Picquet - Grenelle. Cambronne, Sèvres-Lecourbe, Pasteur, Montparnasse - Bienvenüe and Edgar Quinet stations are currently inaccessible on this metro line. The estimated time of resumption was 7:30 am. The Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens has now announced that traffic will resume at 10 a.m., and invites passengers to use alternative routes, such as lines 4, 8, 10 and 12.
