If you're passing through Pont Neuf this Tuesday, March 18, 2025, you're going to have to come up with a plan B. Traffic will be completely interrupted due to a judicial re-enactment. According to the Préfecture de Police, the closure will last from 1pm to 4pm, and will also affect several adjacent roads.
The disruption will not be confined to the Pont Neuf. The prefectoral decree also provides for the closure of the entire bridge from the Quai des Grands Augustins to the Quai du Louvre. In addition, part of the Quai des Orfèvres, between Place du Pont Neuf and Rue de Harlay, will be inaccessible.
If you were planning to use this route, you'll have to rethink your itinerary! Motorists are advised to bypass the area using other Paris bridges, such as the Pont des Arts or the Pont au Change. Public transport should operate normally, but delays are to be expected on the outskirts of the area.
The Préfecture de Police reminds us that the times announced may be adjusted according to the needs of the investigation. Traffic may be restored earlier or, on the contrary, the closure may be extended. It is therefore advisable to consult official information before setting off, and to opt for alternative routes.
