The Fête de la Musique is the perfect time to take advantage of all kinds of musical barg ains! This year's event features a wide range of musical styles: rock, rap, jazz, classical and electro. On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, you'll have the chance to discover new artists and enjoy a real moment of musical sharing!
Founded in 1982, the Fête de la Musique aims to celebrate music in all its forms, and to enable everyone to express themselves freely through it. The event was initiated by the then Minister of Culture, Jack Lang. The date of June 21 was chosen to coincide with the summer solstice, the shortest night of the year, making music an opportunity to party until dawn! From its very first edition, the Fête de la Musique was a huge success and quickly became a tradition rooted in French culture. It then spread to many countries around the world, becoming an international celebration of music!
In Paris, the 41st edition of the festival promises to be packed with concerts ! The program includes a number of not-to-be-missed venues, with performances that are sure to be captivating.
This year, the festival is celebrated on Saturday June 17 at the Arènes de Montmartre, with a classical music concert featuring an orchestra, a choir and a piano soloist. The"Et voilà!" association is taking over this emblematic venue in the mythical bohemian district of Montmartre, Paris. Dating back to Gallo-Roman times, when they were used as a theater and amphitheater, the Arènes are now a popular place to visit, offering an exceptional exploration of the Roman ruins.
What better setting than this for a magical concert of classical music? Join us at the Arènes de Montmartre for a musical experience like no other!
