The Fête de la Musique is an opportunity to experience some exceptional musical moments! On Friday June 21, 2024, the 42nd edition of this popular and festive event takes place in the capital. For the occasion, a quartet from the Musique des gardiens de la paix will perform in an original setting.
The Fête de la Musique is an annual celebration introduced in France in 1982 by the then Minister of Culture, Jack Lang. It takes place every year on June 21, marking the start of the summer season! The idea for the Fête de la Musique arose from the desire to promote music in all its forms and make it accessible to all. The aim is to give professional - and amateur - musicians the chance to perform free of charge in the streets, parks and public squares.
