Do you know the Jardin du Ranelagh? Located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, this island of greenery borders the Musée Marmottan Monet, and is not far from Paris's embassies and international institutions. The garden is famous for its puppet theater, which appeals to young and old alike. There are also a number of statues and flower beds, making this park a very pleasant place to live.
Designed in 1860 by Adolphe Alphand, it is one of the many parks and gardens created during theHaussmann era in Paris. The name Ranelagh comes from the Irish politician Lord Ranelagh, and from the bal du Ranelagh, a garden devoted to dancing, which was very popular in the late 18th century.
With a history like this, it's hardly surprising that the garden is set to become a festive venue on June 21, 2023. A unique concert and a host of unusual events await us in this green setting, to celebrate the Fête de la Musique. Don't miss this festive event in the 16th arrondissement!
