Formerly known as Neuilly Plage, the event has now become Neuilly l'été: so, in July and August, it's on the banks of the Marne and in the 33-hectare park that Nocéens (residents of Neuilly-sur-Marne, editor's note) and all those who wish to do so, have a rendezvous for the summer season.
What's on the agenda? Introduce yourself to new sporting disciplines, attend open-air screenings, concerts and shows for the whole family, starting on July 14, when Neuilly l'été opens with the Fête Nationale fireworks display. In July, Neuilly l' été takes to the banks of the Marne from the 14th to the 30th, followed in August by the 33-hectare park (also known as the Parc du Crescent Vert) from the 4th to the 20th.
Since the advent of Paris Plages a few years ago, many towns and cities in the Paris region now offer a summer program that is free and accessible to all, to break the rhythm of the daily metroschool (or work)-sleep routine that we adopt all the rest of the year. From swimming spots and water sports centers where you can hire pedalos, kayaks and jet skis, to inflatable playground installations and the opening of ephemeral guinguettes, summer is in full swing in Paris and the Île-de-France region, where you can enjoy the activities of Paris Plages,Eté du Canal, Noisy Plage and Neuilly l'été. No matter where you're staying (if you're just passing through Paris) or where you live: summer will be festive and lively in the region!
