Fan Zone for the 2016 UEFA Championship
Despite concerns for security checks in large stadiums, Paris will still be setting up its outdoor “fan zone” near the Eiffel Tower at the Champ-de-Mars for the UEFA Euro 2016. 51 different matches will be shown on a giant screen, from June 9th to July 10th, 2016.
Luxury Brand Expo at the Maison de la Chimie
This year at the luxury expo “Salon du Luxe,” 1600 luxury brands will come together to answer one question: how do you bring innovation into luxury? Come see for yourself on July 6th and 7th, 2016 at the Maison de la Chimie.
The 2016 France Golf Open
The 100th annual “Open de France,” is France’s own golf tournament and part of the European Tour. But it’s much more than just a golf tournament! The even celebrates every aspect of the sport, with game spaces and activities where fans aren’t just spectators but can join in the fun!
2016 Japan Expo at the Parc des Expo
If you like Japanese culture, culinary arts, cartoons, video games or manga, then this expo is for you! Get out your agendas! The 2016 Japan Expo will be held from July 7th to 10th, 2016 at the Parc des Expositions in Northern Paris near the Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Gare des Mines Station, A New Multicultural Site
If you’re in the Paris region from May 19th to October 23rd, 2016, be sure to check out this new spot for “exhibitions, community building and parties.” It’s a temporary cultural center and they’ve planned a variety of events that highlight both emerging visual artists and musical performance.
Zero Waste Festival
The Zero Waste Festival will be at the Cabaret Sauvage at Parc de la Villette on June 30th-July 2nd, 2016. The idea behind this festival is to teach Parisians about zero waste initiatives, a new way to be an eco-friendly consumer!

Olafur Eliasson at the Palace of Versailles
Every year, the Palace of Versailles hosts a contemporary art exhibition on its grounds. This year, Danish artist Olafur Eliasson has been chosen to be the special guest artist, using the palace as his canvas. From June to November, 2016, visitors can see the Palace of Versailles in through Eliasson’s eyes and through his art.
James Bond 007 Exhibition in Paris
To celebrate over 50 years of the world’s most famous spy, the Grande Halle de la Villette has opened its James Bond 007 exhibition, which closes September 4th, 2016. The exhibition unveils 500 accessories from the 007 movies, from Bond’s costumes to his Aston Martin DB5, and of course the set decorations from the different films!
The Avengers STATION Exhibition
The Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is an interactive exhibition and recruitment session that will teach you how to become a Marvel superhero! Face off with the Avengers and show them that you’re ready to join their team! This exhibition was a huge hit in New York, and will now be in Paris in the plaza of the city’s business district at Esplanade de la Défense, from April 15th to September 25th, 2016!
Louis Stettner, a Free Exhibition at the Centre Pompidou
The Centre Pompidou will be featuring the work of American photographer Louis Stettner, for a free exhibition running from June 15th to September 12th, 2016. The photographs featured in the exhibition offer a closer look at both American and French society in the 20th century.
Michel Hoellebecq, “Staying Alive” Installation at the Palais de Tokyo
Guest artist Michel Houellebecq at the Palais de Tokyo is showing a new and completely original installation titled “Rester vivant,” or “Staying alive.” Hoellebecq is not only an artist but also a poet, essayist, novelist and filmmaker. Visitors can experience the world through his eyes with this shape-shifting exhibition, open from June 23rd to September 11th, 2016.
Beat Generation Exhibition at the Centre Pompidou
The Centre Pompidou is featuring a large exhibition titled “Beat Generation,” in reference to the literary and artistic movement that revolutionized US culture from the 1940s to the 1960s. Open from June 20th to October 3rd, 2016.
Le Douanier Rousseau at Orsay Museum
If you’re looking for a beautiful painting exhibition, head to the Musée d’Orsay. They’re showing a large retrospective on atypical modern painters, titled “Le Douanier Rousseau,” from March 22nd to July 17th, 2016.
Picasso Sculptures at the Picasso Museum in Paris
The Musée Picasso is dedicating a large exhibition to Pablo Picasso’s sculptures, open until August 28th, 2016.
Gardens of the Eastern World at the Institut du Monde Arabe
Just steps away from the Seine river in the square at the Institut du Monde Arabe, a large garden will be in bloom from April 19th to September 25th, 2016. The orange and palm trees, roses and jasmine will transport you out of Paris and into other worlds, exploring styles ranging from the Iberian peninsula to the Indian subcontinent. Visitors can also head inside the museum for an exhibition showing the most beautiful gardens found throughout these nations.
