After 32 years of waiting, France will finally be hosting the UEFA Euro. Paris is going all out for it’s Fan Zone, setting up a 400 square feet space on the Champs de Mars that holds 92,000 spectators. Fans from competing countries can now get together in a festive environment, watch games and interviews on a gigantic screen (around 1200 square feet) and enjoy free activities, all in the majestic setting of the park under the Eiffel Tower.
There’s no need to pay to enjoy the Fan Zone with family or friends, because entry is free! The Fan Zone will open three hours before the first events of the day, which can change depending on the date (12pm, 3pm or 6pm) so that entrance and access to the space go smoothly.
Security measures have also been strongly reinforced for the event. 350 private agents will ensure security inside the Fan Zone, with on-site surveillance cameras and searches at the entrance gate.
The Champs de Mars will reopen its gates to some 92,000 fans that will be able to enjoy all 51 matches of the competition on a giant screen. This Fan Zone will also host concerts on days without games, including the long-awaited David Guetta concert that has been scheduled for June 9th.
In total, the City of Paris will spend around 10 million euros to host 3 million european football fans from all around the continent and the world. Come enjoy the Fan Zone at the Champs de Mars in a festive and secure environment.
