UGC Odéon, located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, offers a line-up of around 6 films, with national films showing that week, and sometimes available in theaters for more than 15 weeks after their release. UGC Odéon has 5 theaters where you can see or re-see films that you haven't yet had time to see.
Available in original or subtitled versions, there are also films marked with UGC labels such as UGC M or UGC culte, a label marking the films most appreciated by cinema-goers. The UGC culte label allows you to (re)see a film that has left its mark on the cinema every Thursday evening. These include Clint Eastwood 's Gran Torino and Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula. And for the past 10 years, the UGC group has been organizing the Viva l'Opéra operation , an opportunity to discover opera and ballet on the big screen.
All located in the Latin Quarter, one of the capital's most emblematic areas and a veritable temple of independent cinema. In the same area, you'll find historic cinemas that are landmarks of art-house cinema, such as the Filmothèque du Quartier Latin, Le Champo and Saint André des Arts. Just a few hundred meters from the UGC cinema, you'll also find the Procope, the oldest bar in Paris, the Odéon theater and the Musée National du Moyen-Âge de Cluny.
