Costumes, make-up, sets: to give birth to a film, many artistic trades are mobilized. There are also craftspeople who we don't often think of, but who are just as essential to the success of these films: wigmakers. From film to music videos, fashion to haute couture, wigmakers are in constant demand.
To discover this very special art, thePeruke workshop is opening its doors to us, and inviting us to discover its creations, on the weekend of April 6 and 7, 2024.
The workshop is organizing an exhibition open to all, highlighting its wigs designed for the Maison Hermès. Through this presentation, thePeruke workshop explains its unique know-how, recognized and used by major players in the world of cinema: wigs from this Parisian workshop can be found in Luc Besson's film Valérian, in the Netflix series Lupin, and in Xavier Giannoli's Lost Illusions.
This unusual event is part of the 18th Journées européennes des Métiers d'art. Each year, these craftsmen and women of exceptional skill invite us to discover their profession and their creations, to highlight this very special branch of thecraft industry.
