When summer arrives in Viry-Chatillon, there's one activity you can't afford to miss: open-air cinema in Parc Leblanc. Once again this year, the municipality is inviting all Castelvirois residents to enjoy a cinema screening under the stars. The date is set for July 21, with a special screening of the French-Canadian animated film Vaillante.
The Théâtre de Verdure, inaugurated only a year ago, is the ideal venue for this special screening. Organized by the staff of the Calypso municipal cinema, this initiative aims to bring families and friends together for a convivial evening.
Vaillante is a French-Canadian animated film released in 2022. Featuring the voices ofAlice Pol, Vincent Cassel, Valérie Lemercier, Elie Semoun and Claudia Tagbo, the film tells the story of Giorgia Nolan, a 6-year-old girl who dreams of becoming a firefighter. Set in the 1930s, the plot follows Giorgia as she works as a seamstress alongside her father Shawn, a former firefighter, and deals with a series of mysterious fires that ravage New York's theaters.
When all the city's firefighters go missing, the mayor calls Shawn back to investigate the disappearances. This is Giorgia's chance to help her father and her city. Disguising herself as a young man named Joe, she joins a group of inexperienced firefighters to try to stop the arsonist.
For all those who want to enjoy a unique, emotionally-charged evening under the starry skies of Viry-Chatillon, come to Parc Leblanc on July 21. Get ready to be moved by Giorgia Nolan's courage in Vaillante, and enjoy the incomparable atmosphere of open-air cinema.
