League of Legends Worlds 2024: quarter-finals and semi-finals in Paris

Paris andeSports, a great love story... And with League of Legends in particular! Before the final, to be held in London on November 2, the League of Legends Worlds will pass through Paris for the quarter-finals and semi-finals, at theAdidas Arena from October 17 to 24, 2024. A competition returning to Paris, after a highly successful 2019 edition in the capital for the final and a Red Bull solo Q event in 2021.

The French capital thus reiterates its commitment to the field, this time hosting two crucial phases of the competition. TheAdidas Arena, a brand-new facility located in the 18th arrondissement, will be the stage for these thrilling encounters. With a seating capacity of 8,000, the venue promises an unforgettable experience for both local fans and the international LoL community.

The choice of Paris for these major events is not insignificant. Emmanuel Grégoire, First Deputy Mayor of Paris, underlines the importance ofeSport in the city's economic development and attractiveness strategy:"The year 2024 confirms that Paris has become the true European capital of eSport. Thanks to the work we've carried out over the last few years, we're making Paris an essential destination for esport competitions", he explains. He continues:"With over 39 million gamers in France, the sector is a real source of economic development and attractiveness for our city". This initiative, carried out in collaboration with Paris Je t'aime and theAdidas Arena, is the fruit of hard work begun in 2023 to consolidate the appeal of Paris as an eSport destination.

Beyond the competitive aspect, the Worlds 2024 in Paris will also be an opportunity to celebrate the League of Legends community. With the launch of the LoL Esports Hall of Legends, Riot Games pays tribute to 14 years of high-level esports competitions. This Hall of Legends, which will induct its first members via a voting panel of veterans and experts, symbolizes the recognition and celebration of the historic careers of professional League of Legends players.
