MySims games are derived from the famous Sims license, and are published by Electronic Arts. In this more childlike version, you can customize your avatar, before landing in a new city. Through a variety of mini-games and element management, you'll need to restore the town to its former glory and attract new residents. Furniture making, fishing, cooking, landscaping, house building... MySims games offer simple, soothing gameplay that everyone can enjoy.

Our review:

Tested on Nintendo Switch Lite.

The sounds, the graphics, the universe: from the very first moments of play, nostalgia takes hold of us. Those who spent hours on MySims as children will be happy to immerse themselves in these two games on Nintendo Switch.

These modern versions feature everything that made the MySims saga such a success: towns to build and customize, missions to complete, characters to meet... This "Cosy" collection lives up to its name: here, there's no stress, no timer or endless quests, just your creativity at the service of these worlds to be rebuilt.

MySims and MySims Kingdom are very similar, but MySims Kingdom stands out for its use of the magic wand, which takes a little getting used to.

Once the nostalgic moment has passed, this collection can quickly bore adult players: the tasks are repeated and there are few surprises to breathe new life into the story. For younger players, however, it's a good gateway into the world of simulation games, with several hours of gameplay in prospect in each opus.

As always with these ports, the biggest weakness of these games lies in the adaptation of the gameplay. On Nintendo's previous handheld consoles, this kind of game was played using the touch screen and stylus. On the Switch, you have to use buttons and joysticks, which are far less precise and faster.

MySims Collection Cosy should, however, appeal to younger players and fans of cosy games, who are looking for a cute, creative universe in which to have fun without getting bored.

The last opus in this series was released in 2010. Since MySims SkyHeroes, fans of the saga have felt let down by EA and Nintendo. Fortunately, the original game and its most popular spin-off are finally back in the spotlight, and awaiting you on Nintendo Switch. It's up to you to get creative!
