Disneyland Paris keeping ahead of fashion and upcycling! Since September 9, 2022, the park has been selling a brand-new and exclusive collection of upcycled accessories made with the tarp that covered the Sleeping Beauty Castle when it was entirely renovated. These renovations took place during the lockdowns caused by Covid and beyond, and a tarpaulin sporting the colors of the Castle made the illusion during the operation.
“We are particularly happy to launch this one-of-a-kind collection dedicated to Sleeping Beauty Castle – the icon of our destination – which will allow our fans to take home an authentic piece of magic,” said Jean-David Marque, Merchandise & Retail Director at Disneyland Paris. “Besides, this project is for us an opportunity to collaborate with a local French company that shares Disneyland Paris’ environmental and social values.”
As for this collection, bags, pouches, baskets, duffle bags, pencil cases and more briefcases expect you at The Storybook Store, on Main Street U.S.A. In all 2,300 pieces are available, all made by hand and entirely produced by Bilum – an Île-de-France-based company specialized in upcycling and working with an ESAT (namely an establishment and aid service through work) helping disabled people. A great occasion to celebrate the resort’s art and history through these accessories, whilst doing a good deed.
And we also remind you the park celebrates its 30th anniversary with a whole bunch of celebrations, and a new land within the Walt Disney Studios park, focusing on Marvel superheroes: Avengers Campus!
