We have a winner! Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alexander Zverev in the final match of Roland-Garros 2024 in five sets. The Spaniard wins his first Grand Slam title!

What a spectacle we witnessed on Sunday! Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev faced off on the Roland-Garros court in the final of the legendary clay-court tennis tournament. The two top sportsmen battled relentlessly in idyllic weather, sheltered from the rain of the first few weeks. A far cry from Djokovic and his rapid three-set victory last year, Carlos Alcaraz outclassed his opponent in five sets, in a breathtaking match lasting almost 5 hours!

It's the first time the Spanish player has won the French Open, and it's quite a feat! To the standing ovations of the 16th arrondissement crowd, Alcaraz was able to take advantage of the absence of Nadal and Djokovic for the first time since 2015, to come out on top! A well-deserved victory for the 21-year-old, who lifts the Coupe des Mousquetaires, the first in what could be a long series...

The 2024 edition of the French Open thus comes to an end, this Sunday, June 9, 2024!
