Incredible but true, a Golf Open is taking place for a day on the grounds of Argenteuil, in the Val-d'Oise! And what makes this event so special is that it is entirely free and accessible to all. This time, you will not come to watch the best golfers of the region compete, but rather you will be there to participate and learn the basics of golf! It's okay if you've never picked up a club in your life, for once! Come on, let's meet on Sunday, May 14, 2023at the Parc des Berges, to try your best swing!
On the banks of the Seine, you will have the opportunity to take part in putting and swing workshops, to train yourself, as well as in virtual golf. Personalities will be present to play the hole-in-one contest, while everyone will be able to try their luck on the 3 holes competition, accessible to beginners. A golf village on site will allow visitors to learn without pressure and to discover activities related to the sport, including mini-golf or foot-golf.
For Georges Mothron, Mayor of Argenteuil, this first tournament is"an opportunity to fight against the clichés that may surround this sport and to see Argenteuil in a new light. Since last year, the city has partnered with Ugolf to provide free introductory days for children and adults to learn how to play golf.
