Following in the footsteps of yoga, pilates has become particularly popular in Paris in recent years: and with good reason, numerous studios have opened in the capital. On Rue Raymond Poincaré, in the 16th arrondissement, a brand-new concept has just opened its doors: it's the Burning Bar, a place to do hot pilates in a warmer-than-usual room.

Opened last November, Burning Bar is the brainchild of partners Charlotte and Jodie. After living in Los Angeles and discovering American-style pilates, they decided to bring the concept back to Paris, where they couldn't really find an equivalent.

"The standing wasn't the same here," explains Charlotte, who is banking on a top-of-the-range gym, where you feel pampered as if you were at home: huge showers, numerous cosmetic products (including hair care, skin serums... in addition to the classic shower gel-shampoo-conditioner), towels provided on arrival and even, a sauna and hammam to relax even more, before or after a session. " The idea is to create a temple of well-being in 360," adds the co-founder, offering a private gym where you can come for a one-off session or opt for a subscription.

The number of people in the gym is ideal: a maximum of ten so that the coaches can accompany you throughout your session and, above all, so that everyone can make the most of their session in a room heated to around 35°C, using infrared heating. This heat relaxes muscles, helps reduce stress, improves skin tone... These are just some of the many benefits that make the hot studio a gym in a class of its own, where well-being is particularly closely linked to physical exercise. The program includes Burning Flow or hot pilates, Fire Flow (hot yoga) or, more cardio-oriented, Full body on fire and Burning core shape, which focus on dynamic movements and cardio. Count €40 for a trial session, €60, from €190 for 5 sessions, bearing in mind that packs go up to 50 sessions.

In addition to the burning studio, the venue is also a detoxifying shot bar, with a fully-equipped gym (elliptical bikes, treadmills, etc.) also available to members, and at weekends, the Burning Bar opens its hammam and sauna, as well as its massage institute (extra charge) for total relaxation and optimal recovery!
