After a veritable spectacle of tries and conversions against Namibia, beaten 96-0 by the XV de France, Les Bleus have still not qualified for the quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup 2023. The French have also won against New Zealand and Uruguay, but there's still Italy to play on October 6, 2023, and they're not the easiest team in the group. Second in the group without having played New Zealand, the Transalps could well give us a hard time.
To ensure a place in the quarter-finals, it's obviously best to count on a win in early October, to keep our destiny in our own hands. While New Zealand should find it hard to overtake us in terms of points, offensive bonuses can play a big part in the remountadas of the various teams. With France the last team to play, we'll have to wait until then and cross our fingers at the results of the others, to hope for the best, despite the injury to our captain.
Kick-off on TF1at 9pm on Friday, October 6, 2023, in Lyon's stadium!
