After the Football World Cup, the French will be able to rally round the Rugby World Cup taking place on French soil! The event has been eagerly awaited ever since it was first announced . The competition runs from September 8 to October 28, 2023, and the French national team has every chance of winning it, having been in fine form over the last few years.
After their success in the Six Nations Tournament and some fine international matches that have delighted amateur rugby players, France will be looking to bring the Cup home. 600 players from five continents, divided into 20 teams, will be playing in front of thousands of television viewers to win the William Webb Ellis Trophy at this tenth Rugby World Cup in history. Twelve teams qualified directly:South Africa, England, Wales, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Japan, France, Scotland, Italy, Argentina and Fiji. Samoa, Uruguay, Georgia and Spain have also joined the competition.
The Rugby World Cup 2023 will be held in 10 host cities: Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Paris, Saint-Denis, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse. In the Paris region, the matches will take place at the Stade de France, and it's currently hard to find tickets, but fortunately there are plenty of bars and fanzones waiting for you to enjoy the atmosphere!
